The newly released VDA 2 Yellow Volume has been made available to the global automotive industry. This important quality management standard is now accessible for free download and review via the VDA QMC website, with stakeholders invited to provide feedback to the working group.

The VDA Volume 2 has long been a benchmark for Production Process and Product Approval (PPA) in the automotive industry. The new edition has been updated to reflect current industrial needs and strengthen quality management systems across the supply chain. We invite quality management professionals from the automotive supply chain to participate actively in this public consultation, helping to ensure continuous optimization and improvement of industry standards.

The Yellow Volume standard has been uploaded to the VDA QMC website —click HERE to view it now! In addition,  if you have suggestions for improvement, you can also download the feedback form on this page, fill it out, and submit it via the email address provided in the form.

Additionally, supporting documentation for Chapter 11.2 "Evidence of Performance Indicators of Software Quality" is also available for download on the above page.

The deadline for feedback is April 2, 2026. Following the comment collection and revision process, the Red Volume is expected to be published in Q2 2026.
